Arts Managers Development

The Arts Managers Development Programme is our commitment to develop and professionalise arts managers in Singapore. The programmes create opportunities for the growth and recognition of more arts managers which we hope will lead to diversity of programming in our arts scene.

Production & Stage Management 101

 

Led by Khairina Khalid, the 5-session workshop will give participants an insight into the essential skills and knowledge required to be a production/stage manager. This includes but is not limited to 
●    Leadership and communication skills
●    An in-depth understanding of the processes and duties of a production and stage manager 
●    Exploring technical terminology, knowledge and processes
●    Budgeting, scheduling and resource allocation 
●    Problem-solving skills

 


Fundamentals of Fundraising Masterclass Series

 

 

Led by Jane Binks, the series of masterclasses aim to 
●    Empower arts managers and organisations from ethnic minority backgrounds with effective fundraising strategies.
●    Foster an inclusive and culturally sensitive approach to fundraising, addressing unique challenges faced by ethnic minority arts managers.
●    Provide actionable tools, including SWOT analysis, ideation execution, and case for support development.
●    Cultivate a supportive community of fundraisers, promoting knowledge exchange and collaboration.

Topics covered in the masterclass series include:

●    Identifying priorities by aligning mission and vision with resources
●    Understanding your place in the ecosystem - SWOT Analysis and Ideation Execution
●    Crafting a persuasive case for support 
●    Identifying prospects and resources
●    Acknowledging cultural challenges in fundraising


A Producing Masterclass Series on Artists, Artforms, and Audience

 

Fezhah Maznan leads a series of masterclasses on producing where participants will explore the arts manager's role from artist, art forms, and audience perspectives. They will also engage in a hands-on session to explore Singapore's arts scene, identifying opportunities, gaps, and innovative methods to attract, engage, and grow the audience.
